Do you want to plan a date that isn’t just your usual dinner and drinks? We’ve got you covered! We are always looking for fun and quirky date locations to visit and been on hundreds of different dates around London. Below we have listed some of the best places we have visited that we need to share with the rest of the world.
The Cauldron

If you and your date love Harry Potter, then the Cauldron is a great place to visit together. Here you can have a Harry Potter-themed cocktail-making class.
The class is based around the art of concocting magic potions and involves cauldrons, magic wands, and molecular mixology (and a little alcohol). If you would still like to bring your kids, then not to worry, they also offer non-alcoholic family-friendly potion mixing sessions.

Alcotraz

Alcotraz is a super fun immersive experience in London. It is a bar behind bar with inmates as bartenders and here you become an inmate for the night who needs to successfully smuggle your liquor past the crooked warden and serve your time with a covert supply of personalised cocktails.
Hidden behind unassuming shutters on London’s famous Brick Lane, lies Cell Block Two One Two, a secret speakeasy prison made a little more bearable by successfully smuggling in liquor past The Warden and getting it to the longest-serving inmates.
Otherworld

If you want to be virtually transported into another world with your date and get a bit competitive then OTHERWORLD in Haggerston is a great place to visit. They have Immersion Pod technology that features Wind, Heat & Rumble, which means your body really does feel like its inside the games.
We will say though, if you or your date suffer from motion sickness or are claustrophobic then this might not be a great place to go!
ABQ London

ABQ London is a fab place to go if you want to go on a drinks date, but with a twist! ABQ is an immersive molecular cocktail bar where you get to make and infuse your own drinks in an RV (Motorhome). We have a feeling it is inspired by Breaking Bad, although for legal reasons that is not ever mentioned! Making the cocktails is a great conversation starter and it is super fun to do together.

You can also get even more involved in the experience by wearing the provided disposable masks, acids, aprons, and alcohol. There are non-alcoholic options too which makes it just as fun for those who don’t drink.
Loading Stoke Newington

For those who love gaming, especially retro games, we highly recommend Loading in Stoke Newington. This is a very welcoming bar, which is full of free to play games, latest consoles, signature cocktails and big-screen entertainment. They offer hundreds of boardgames and videogames that customers can use for free whilst enjoying some coffee or cocktails.
Ice skating, bowling and more at Queens London

Before the first lockdown we were really getting into ice skating. Queens London is one of London’s only year-round ice rink. Here you can also do some bowling, play arcade games and they also have a MEATliquor restaurant and bar.
Axe throwing

Axe throwing is an increasingly popular experience, especially in London, but it is easy to see why, as it is so much fun! We promise that this date idea will have you both laughing and give you a chance to try something new together. We went to the Whilstle Punks Urban Axe Throwing, which we highly recommend. Here they taught us how to throw the axes safely and then we got to compete against each other and other couples and teams doing the experience at the same time.
Electronic Gamebox

Mix up your dating with something a little different and get ready for an immersive, digital adventure. Electric Gamebox invites you to step into the Gamebox and enter a fully-private, interactive digital room featuring projection mapping, touch screens, motion tracking and surround sound to enjoy a hyper-immersive 60 minute adventure. Whether you’re being graded by aliens, searching for rare martian minerals or saving the queen’s corgis, at Electric Gamebox, you will be having the best time!
